About Samskar
History & Background
The ashram initially started when Shri Lavanam and Smt. Hemalata Lavanam — noted social workers — helped establish a 25-bed nature cure hospital in Akbar Nagar village, Nizamabad district to provide affordable health services.
In 2006, the facility was leased to Dr. Manthena Satyanarayana Raju and his charitable trust, which expanded it progressively to a 100-bed ashram set in a lush, pollution-free natural environment.
The trust itself focuses on developing nature cure ashrams, propagating health awareness, and advancing research in naturopathy.
